Look behind the red colored dipstick. You will see 2 ignition coils side by side (the spark plug wires connect to them) these are mounted on top of the ignition module. Each coil connects 2 spark plug wires. The coils have 2 bolts that hold them to the block. Disconnect the 2 plugs at the top of the ignition module. Remove the bolts holding the ignition coils to the ignition module and the whole assembly will come off.
When replacing the coils, the spark plug order from left to right is 4-1-2-3 (the cylinder order on the block from left to right is 1-2-3-4).
In the front of the motor by the transmission dipstick. This is where your spark plugs from the engine go.
no it has a distributorless ignition system. it cosists off two coil packs and the ignition control module that sits under them
Yes, its inside the coil interface (the thing that the two coils are sitting on)
The 1998 Saturn SL2 will show a code 340 and 341 for a camshaft position sensor because this part is also considered the crankshaft position sensor on the Saturn. The location of the crankshaft position sensor is behind the alternator on a 1998 Saturn SL2. Both crankshaft and camshaft are the same thing This vehicle is not equipped with a camshaft position sensor. Saturn is the only manufacture that uses a auto pulse generated inside the ignition control module in conjunction with the pulse received from the crankshaft position sensor to determine ignition and injection timing. If you have a code for camshaft position sensor the issue is with the pulse generator in the ignition control module.

The starter relay control module on a 2002 Saturn SL2 is typically located in the engine compartment fuse box. This fuse box is situated near the driver's side of the engine bay. To access the relay, you may need to remove the cover of the fuse box to identify the specific relay responsible for the starter. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for precise details and diagrams.
Pass. side rear, behind shoulder strap of seatbelt
my 93 sl2 does the same thing. the "center" of the ignition sticks "in" (depressed) when removing key. i always just "pop" it out and the alarm stops.
do a 99 Saturn sl2 have a transmission pan gasket
It's not on the coil. The powertrain control module (PCM), located under the dash, provides the signal to the tachometer. By the way, your 1992 Saturn sedan (presuming it's a dual overhead cam) is an SL2, not an SC2.
How do you install 2002 saturn sl2 4 cyl
