There is no such thing as free Cable Television. Or, at least, there is no such thing as free legal cable television. You have to pay whether you want cable service or a satellite service. People who offer you free cable television access the cable companies' signals without the knowledge of the cable companies. They then give you these signals for free. But this is against the law and is known as "Theft of Service." Theft of Service means the manufacture, use, or supply of unauthorized cable devices and services. If a person is found indulging in theft of service then he can be penalized both civilly and criminally under the U.S. Federal Cable Act. The Federal Cable Act supercedes state and local acts and laws in this matter. This act provides protection for the cable companies against any individual who accesses, receives, or transmits any cable system service without the permission to do so. Unauthorized interception or receipt of cable system services includes any and all data, text, audio, and visual services provided by the cable network. This also includes all data transfer to or from a cable customer who has an interactive cable system. Manufacturers, suppliers, as well as separate consumers come under the purview of this act. If a person is found guilty of theft of service, then the concerned cable company can file a civil and criminal case against him. If these violations were proved to be "just for fun" or for "free" cable relay, the penalty might be less, but if they were for transmission for financial gain, then the civil penalty could go up to $50,000. If criminal intent can be proved, this attracts a fine of over $100,000 and in some cases a prison term also. So the next time someone tries to offer you free cable television, please steer clear of them and get cable television or Satellite Television by paying for it. "QUOTE From above" There is no such thing as free cable television. Or, at least, there is no such thing as free legal cable television. Freesat is satellite reception television for people in the United Kingdom. With the purchase of a satellite dish, by placing it in the correct location people can receive cable television on their receiver for free.
You should receive a transfer cable upon purchasing an Xbox 360 Elite or a 120 GB HDD. Alternatively, you could call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and claim that you bought a 120 GB HDD, but didn't receive a transfer cable. They should send you one for free.
That's a tough one. We've had `wireless TV' since the first TV broadcast transmitter went on the air. It was free and still is. Then came cable and it was followed by satellite systems. I've had both cable and satellite. My personal preferences are for one of the satellite providers over cable, but unless you can get a good `line of sight' to the satellite with your receiving dish, you may have no choice but to opt out for cable. NO, NAOL IS
Yes, I am so tired of being overcharged for cable. I cancelled my cable a while back. I have free to air satellite and I'm happy with it.
There are not many free satellite packages but you should check the White Pages on any local deals or promotions to get the best price for a satellite provider.
Free to air satellite is a great way to get programming. You should get at least a 3 foot dish installed.
Satellite cable has taken over the television industry simply because it offers so many benefits over regular cable television for a lower price in most situations. Research has shown that satellite cable is people's preference because they can get more channels. However, there are numerous other benefits. For starters, satellite cable is available to those that live in remote areas. Many times cable is only available to those that live within city limits, which leaves those that live out in the country to have the options of using an antenna and converter box will usually only gives them a handful of channels. Since television is usually the main source of entertainment for families, a handful of channels just does not cut it. Thus, they turn to satellite cable. Many people who are on the fence about getting satellite cable often worry about the price. However, most of the big satellite companies offer such deep discounts to first time customers that it is cheaper for them than having to purchase an antenna then a converter box. For example, the satellite dish will be free as well as the installation and the satellite box for a specific number of rooms. With the converter box costing on average of fifty dollars, setting up three rooms for television would cost one hundred and fifty dollars. This is money that could be saved by going with satellite cable. Another huge benefit of satellite cable is that the cost per month is set for a certain time period that you sign your contract. Most of those who have regular cable often complain that month after month the price seems to increase. For those that sign a year or two year contract with satellite, which is the normal amount of time that have that price assurance for that time period. After that period they can usually have the same price, depending upon the type of programming that they have. For those that move frequently, cable just does not match satellite. Most satellite companies will transfer your new service to your new home and have someone come out free of charge and install the service. This is something that cable does not offer, which is one of the major downfalls of choosing cable over satellite. Overall, for the price and the number of channels that you receive with satellite cable, it is no contest between the two services.
Foxtel is a subscription cable and satellite channel. There is no legal way to watch Foxtel (TV or Internet) without subscribing.
You cannot legally watch it online without paying. On the Falling Skies website, you have to link to a cable or satellite provider to get it. Your cable or satellite company has to participate so it might be free there if you can get it to work.
Well, I would recommend finding the options available to receive free satellite TV from FreeSat because they offer a variety of additional information. They also offer their information for a fee of no charge.
Yes.
Yes, a TV with an internal HD receiver can receive Free-to-Air (FTA) satellite signals, provided it has a built-in satellite tuner. To access FTA channels, you'll need to properly align a satellite dish to the correct satellite and connect it to the TV. Additionally, ensure that the TV's settings are configured to scan for available satellite channels. If the TV lacks a satellite tuner, you would need an external satellite receiver to receive FTA signals.
