No,
generaly the car lights cums with elargins if we want HID lights we can install...it
Depends, HID KITS are not legal anywhere in the US, they violate US DOT law. HID lights that come factory with a proper projector designed with HID in mind (higher end cars; Audi, Mercedes). Practically, if you aim the HID lights down, as to not blind other drivers, its unlikely that a cop will pull you over, as they can't really tell if your lights stock or an addon kit.
HID headlamps designed, engineered, manufactured, and certified or type-approved as HID headlamps are legal everywhere. "HID kits" and "projector retrofits", where HID bulbs are installed in headlamps not originally designed to accept them, are unsafe and illegal everywhere.
No, there are no such things as "hid lights".
A HID kit is a High Intensity Discharge, also referred to as Xenon. One would use a HID kit to upgrade the headlights in their car. These lights last for 3000 hours and they replace halogen lights currently in most cars.
The older BMWs do not have HID lights
Some of the more advanced HID conversion kits are designed to compensate for the CAN-BUS bulb warning systems installed in some new cars. These systems are able to simulate the draw of the factory standard OEM bulb and prevent false bulb warnings.
Headlights may not come on as the fuse may have blown Or a wire has come undone But try the fuse first
HID lights are generally illegal, and the name is a clue as to why, These are 'high intensity discharge' lights and they can blind any cars coming toward you. There are conversion kits sold that are supposed to prevent this, but you should be careful retrofitting your car to stay legal.
From what i understand, HID kits are illegal unless you have a projector installed on your car so it controls the light output of the HID's. Projectors spread the light evenly and have a cut off point which don't blind on coming drivers. Don't just install the hid kit, replace your headlights with projects =)
Yes, HID lights need a ballast.
HID lights measure brightness in lumens, which is a unit of measurement that quantifies the total amount of visible light emitted. The brightness of HID lights can also be influenced by factors such as color temperature and beam pattern. Automotive HID lights are commonly rated in terms of lumens output to indicate their brightness level.
The 2006 Cadillac CTS does not come equipped with HID (High-Intensity Discharge) headlights as standard. Instead, it features halogen headlights. However, some aftermarket options may be available for upgrading to HID lights if desired. Always check compatibility and local regulations before making modifications.
