SDI stands for standard diesal injection
it is very unlikely. i have never seen a vw golf sdi from 2000 onwards without the central locking as standard. i have one the same model and bought it new, it was a standard feature on this model at least for the golf's we got in malta. js

i think its just to the right of the main engine, its like a white cyliner type thing
If you want good fuel economy, the SDI is for you. If you want a lot of torque, your best bet is to go for the TDI. The SDI doesnt have a turbo but the TDI does.
The main differences between HD-SDI and 3G-SDI are the data transfer rates and resolutions they support. HD-SDI can handle up to 1080p resolution at 1.5 Gbps, while 3G-SDI can handle up to 1080p resolution at 3 Gbps. This means that 3G-SDI can transmit higher quality video with less compression, resulting in better image quality for broadcasting and production.
Why don't you just go down to your local garage and ask they wont charge you anything :) hoped this helps
