Does all romex have a ground wire?

Some older wire does not have a ground. All you can do in that case is use a jumper wire to connect the ground to the neutral.

Can you ground a wall outlet by running a jumper wire from the neutral terminal to the ground screw?

Not correctly , It will show on a tester that it is grounded but you should run a separate ground for it to be properly grounded

Who invented jumper cables?

Leon Jumper in 1863

Why do outlets have two prongs?

Actually they have 3. A round ground, wide neutral, and narrow hot. If it only has 2 it is an old outlet with no ground wire. If that is the case in your home, I highly suggest you connect a jumper wire from the ground screw to the white neutral wire on the silver screw to provide some protection. Do this at every outlet in the home. Replace all the outlets in your home with new ones if they are so old they do not have a ground connection.

Can the ground wire pass through the same conduit as feed wires from panel to meter?

If you are asking simply a technical question the answer is no, because ground wires do not exist from the panel to the meter. My advice to you is this: If you have an inspector telling you to do something a certain way, do it his way unless in your professional opinion you believe to do so would be unsafe. What is properly called a ground wire, or what the NEC calls a groundING conductor (as opposed to the groundED conductor) does not run from the meter to the panel. From the meter to the panel you will have the groundED conductor, which is the neutral, and possibly a bonding jumper. The bonding jumper is probably what you are referring to as the ground wire. The code requires that all components of a service be bonded together. The components for a common home are just the meter and panel, but may also include a separate disconnect, junction box, or CT box. Typically the bonding jumper is run in the same raceways as the service conductors, but since the NEC prohibits any other conductors in a raceway that carries service conductors some jurisdictions do not allow the jumper to be inside the raceway or conduit. Technically the bonding jumper is not a conductor even if it is a wire. Grounding and Bonding are 2 of the largest sections of the NEC and the most misunderstood. To the untrained eye they look alike as they both often use green or bare wires to accomplish their tasks. Understanding the difference, the proper difference, between grounding and bonding is a step in the right direction but many professional electricians use the terms improperly and cannot make a reasonable explanation of what is the purpose for each. I invite answers from other electricians as I'm sure my explanation is much more complicated than the questioner wanted or needed.

When can a jumper wire be used to bridge electrical ground crossings?

A jumper wire can be used to bridge electrical ground crossings when there is a break in the ground path, leading to unreliable or no connection. By connecting the ground terminals on either side of the break using a jumper wire, you can establish a reliable ground connection and ensure proper functioning of the electrical circuit. It is important to use proper gauge wire and ensure proper insulation to prevent any electrical hazards.

What can happen if jumper cables put on wrong?

It could fry the battery or the electrical system on the vehicles

What is a BASE jumper?

A BASE jumper is a person who engages in BASE jumping - a parachute jump from a fixed point rather than from an aircraft - typically a tall building, high bridge, or rock formation.

How do you jump start a 1999 c230 without accessing the battery?

Positive jumper to starter, or anyplace along the electrical system. Negative to ground. But whats the big deal about accessing the battery...in the trunk rather than the hood? where is the starter in c230?

Is the Mississippi River jumpable?

The narrowest part of the Mississippi is between 20 feet and 30 feet wide where it begins, flowing out of Lake Itasca in northern Minnesota. A world-class long jumper might make it. It can be waded across along a small rock dam or walked across on a log bridge. It is easiest to cross farther south when it freezes in the winter, and one can (with care) walk or skate across.

Where do you put jumper cables on a Chevy suburban battery?

The proper way to use jumper cables to boost a low/dead battery: (1) one end of positive jumper cable to "dead" battery; (2) opposite end of positive jumper cable to "good" battery; (3) one end of negative jumper cable to "good" battery; (4) opposite end of negative jumper cable to GROUND on "dead" vehicle. Remove jumper cables in reverse order.

Where do you dig up night crawlers?

In the ground I would think, try a car battery and jumper cables and two rods then digbthe rods in the ground hook up jumper cables and see worms pop up when you see the worm unhook the cables be safe

Is it important to consider the order in which the jumper cables are connected when jump-starting a vehicle?

Yes, it is important to consider the order in which the jumper cables are connected when jump-starting a vehicle to avoid damaging the electrical system.

What is a ground covering with many roots and stems And a thing or person that leaps?

A ground covering with many roots and stems is a vine, while a thing or person that leaps is a jumper.

How long is the jumper in free fall if the parachute opens at 1000 ft?

Assuming the jumper free falls from an airplane at a typical altitude of 12,000 ft, it would take approximately 12 seconds to fall the first 1000 ft. If the parachute opens at 1000 ft, the jumper will then have a controlled descent for the remaining distance to the ground.
