You cannot. An ampere (A) is used to measure current. A millivolt ampere (mV.A) is used to measure apparent power. These are two different quantities, so you cannot convert one unit into the other!

You can't convert MVA (megavolt.amps) to current (amps) unless you know the source voltage and/or load resistance (ohms) which is drawing the current from the source.

If you know the voltage in megavolts, you just divide the megavolt.amps figure by the number of megavolts and the result is the current in amperes.

If you know both source voltage and load resistance you can use Ohm's Law to get the current:

I = V / R

In words, Ohm's law is:

Current (amps) = Voltage divided by Resistance (ohms)

How you convert Amps into MVA?

1mva = 1000kva so you simply divide by 1000. 10000KVA = 10MVA K = kilo = 1000 M = mega = 1000000

A transmission line has 30 megawatts and 40 megavars what is the megavolt amps load on the line?

By definition, MVA is equivalent to the vector sum of MW and MVAR: MVA^2 = MW^2 + MVAR^2 = 2500 MVA = 50

How transformer converts mva to kv?

Transformer does not convert MVA to KV. MVA is unit of power, where as KV is unit of Voltage. Transformer converts voltgae. Step up or Step down.

How do you convert kvar to amps?

At what voltage? When you know the voltage then, to get the amps those kilovolt.amps contain, you simply divide the kilovolt.amps by the voltage. <><><> You can't convert kVA (kilovolt.amps) to amps unless you know either the source voltage (as was explained above here in the first answer) or the load resistance which is drawing the current from the source. If you know them both you can use Ohm's Law to get the amperage: I = V / R In words, Ohm's law is: Current (amps) equals voltage divided by resistance (ohms)

What is the formula to convert amps to volts?

Amps and volts are two separate parts of power measurement and do not convert into each other. Multiplying amps times volts will give you the measurement of wattage.

37.5 amps converted in watts?

To convert amps into watts a voltage is needed. Watts = Amps x Volts.
