because as the capacitor starts charging, the charges which are already built on capacitor opposes the further flow of charges. hence the process gets slow. thats we get sharp curve initially which gets flat further.

Why we get triangular wave as output when we apply square wave as input?

because of charging and discharging of capacitor present in the circuit. beacause capacitor charges exponentially. akshay dabhane

How do you change time constant of capacitor?

In theory ... on paper where you have ideal components ... a capacitor all by itself doesn't have a time constant. It charges instantly. It only charges exponentially according to a time constant when it's in series with a resistor, and the time constant is (RC). Keeping the same capacitor, you change the time constant by changing the value of the resistor.

What happens to the current in a circuit as a capacitor charges?

What happens to the current in a circuit as a capacitor charges depends on the circuit. As a capacitor charges, the voltage drop across it increases. In a typical circuit with a constant voltage source and a resistor charging the capacitor, then the current in the circuit will decrease logarithmically over time as the capacitor charges, with the end result that the current is zero, and the voltage across the capacitor is the same as the voltage source.

What are the conditions of capacitor?

stores charges

What is dc link capacitor?

when the DC current flows through the capacitor .the leakage of the charges is in capacitor called Dc leakage capacitor .

What is an electrolic capacitor?

An electrolytic capacitor uses an electrolyte (ions in a solution) to store charges.

Is air a non linear medium?

Air pressure is a non-linear medium because as you go up it decreases exponentially.

What is the Meaning of electrolytic capacitor?

It means that 1) it is a capacitor, and 2) it uses an electrolyte to store the charges.

Why does the current in a capacitor become zero or almost zero when fully charged?

because in a capacitor only charges are stored so the stored charges are gives the zero current

What is the use or ceramic capacitor?

ceramic capacitor does not simultaneously discharges instead it maintains stead flow of charges through it

Why is a capacitor called a capacitor?

Due to its storing capacity.it charges for a some time and then discharges when power supply is removed.

How capacitor stores charges?

capacitor storage the charge by the two plattes anode cathod & now insulater bettewen them.
