Being able to use the turbulence in the water to help them stay afloat is one adaptation that the plankton has to keep themselves afloat. They also use structures near the surface of the water to help them.
Plankton have adaptations such as small size, buoyancy control mechanisms like gas-filled chambers or oil droplets, and slow sinking rates to help them stay afloat in the photic zone. Some plankton species also have appendages or structures that increase surface area and help them remain suspended in the water column.

If your fish food is staying afloat for a week it is most likely because it is just buoyant and you have overfed your fish. Feeding your fish less will reduce fish food staying afloat as well as help keep your fish and tank healthy.

It's hair on the leaves.
adaptations that help it survive
Look, maybe, maybe not. We all have different opinions, but in my case...yes. Every single person goes like: (Well, Planes crash, and boats sink!) But it's not that! You see, hundreds of people find boats...staying AFLOAT!! They go on it...and there is a full supply of food, and water. Boats in perfect shape...but...were are all the people. Known now, People find thousands of boats staying afloat in perfect condition staying afloat with full supply's, but never any people. So, to me that sounds pretty paranormal to me. About Planes...Idk. But again, think of how many people search the water of the Bermuda Triangle. No one to this day has found anything. So...PARANORMAL!
We won't be afloat for long!
No, although air is released, destabilizing the water, you will not be 'sucked' in, you just will have trouble staying afloat. It's not a suction, just a weak platform.
1.They have to have counter shading, which is when an organism is light on the bottom and dark on the top, so when predators look down at the dark ocean floor, the organism is nearly invisible, and the same when a predator looks up at the light ocean surface the organism is nearly invisible. 2. Another adaptation is for plankton, they have to increase their body mass to increase drag, allowing them to stay afloat, because plankton, unlike nekton, cannot propel themselves, and they cannot sink otherwise they would not have enough sunlight to photosynthesize Hope this helps :)
No. Afloat is an adjective. It cannot be a preposition.
