It depends. If you only want to turn the motor in one direction, then you could simply use a medium power mosfet (eg:IRF530) connected to an output pin on the PICAXE, and with a backward diode around the motor.
If you need to change direction, it's best to use an L293D, which allows independent bidirectional control of two motors.
You need a DC power supply in order to connect a 24v DC motor to household power.
to the air box
If you will connect it right, it will work.
Transistors are not normally connected to dc motors, but it is possible to use transistors in a speed-control mechanism for a motor.
To connect a 3-phase motor for a roller shutter door using a SAC1 controller, first ensure the motor's voltage and current ratings match the controller's specifications. Connect the three phases of the motor (L1, L2, L3) to the corresponding output terminals on the SAC1. Additionally, connect the controller's power supply and any required control inputs, such as limit switches for the roller shutter. Finally, configure the SAC1 settings as per the manufacturer's instructions to ensure proper operation.
Picaxe is a version of stamp allowing easy programming and compatablility with the picaxe application it also has features e.g tune allowing music to be played and ir compatablity and meny other upgrades
