How long is the motor housing? I just placed a 70cm pump, motor 35cm, in 250cm if clean water. 20cm of sludge. The bottom the motor housing was placed about 40cm above the sludge which means there is about 75 cm of clean water below the water inlet and 175cm of water above the pump. It will take many years for the sludge to rise and even in low water periods I should stay in operation.
