The main thing that happens when there is water in diesel fuel is that it will burn poorly or maybe not even at all. It will also sink to the bottom of the fuel tank.

What is the material commonly used in diesel fuel pumps?

What phenomenon occurs if petrol is used in diesel engine?

What do you mean phenonmenon? Nothing of a phenomenon occurs. Your engine will simply fail and you will need to get the whole tank cleaned out and system it will cost a fortune. This is why people put diesel stickers on the inside of their petrol cap to remind them. And prob saving them money in the long run!

How do you choose a thermal expansion tank?

When choosing a thermal expansion tank, consider the system's water heater capacity and the type of system (closed or open). Calculate the required tank size based on the heater's capacity, typically using a sizing chart or formula provided by the manufacturer. Additionally, ensure the tank's pressure rating matches your system's pressure and check for compatibility with your plumbing materials. Lastly, consider the installation space and any specific features that may be required, such as a bladder type for better performance.

Started engine after filling car with diesel instead of petrol?

Well, the good news is that filling a gasoline engine with diesel is not as bad as using gasoline in a diesel engine. There is likely no permanent damage. The bad news is that you're probably looking at several hundred dollars (perhaps up to $500) to drain the fuel tank and engine and flush the fuel lines unless you can DIY. If the diesel gummed up the spark plugs and filters, they'd probably need to be replaced, but those are minor costs. If you want to DIY, just drain as much diesel out of the fuel tank as possible. Then disconnect the fuel lines and blow them out. Replace the fuel filter and reconnect everything. Purchase a can of Seafoam FI cleaner and pour the entire can in the fuel tank. This will help remove any moisture and also clean the injectors or carburetor. Fill the tank with at least 10 gallons of fuel or more. The more the better as this will dilute the diesel. You will probably need to use a starter fluid to get it started. Just keep spraying a small amount of starter fluid into the intake until it will run on it's own. Do not spray too much. Don't allow the battery to fully discharge as this will do damage to the battery and do not crank the engine for long periods of time as this will overheat the starter. Once you get it running, you should be OK, and there should be no permanent damage. You may end up replacing the spark plugs but more than likely not.

How much diesel we need to fill?

The amount of diesel needed to fill a tank depends on the tank's capacity and the current fuel level. To determine the required quantity, subtract the current fuel level from the tank's total capacity. For example, if you have a 50-gallon tank and it currently has 15 gallons, you would need 35 gallons of diesel to fill it up. Always ensure to check for any local regulations or safety guidelines when refueling.
