Have owned 3 Dyson products and it is true they don't loose suction, but they do clog up. I can't tell you how many times I have had to tear apart one of their products to clear it from a clog.
A centrifugal pump can lose prime due to several reasons, including air leaks in the suction line, insufficient liquid in the source, or a blockage in the suction line. Additionally, if the pump is not properly vented, air can become trapped in the casing, preventing the pump from maintaining its prime. Other factors like excessive suction lift or cavitation can also contribute to prime loss. Regular maintenance and proper installation can help mitigate these issues.
You will lose capacity and efficiency. The compressor may also run HOT and cycle on its internal overload protection device.
A single suction pump having its suction nozzle on the opposite side of the casing from the stuffing box and having the face of the suction nozzle perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shaft
To compensate high suction volume during startup of he pump. the reducer area below the pipeline at the suction stores excess volume of fluid.
Answer: The terms suction and discharge are the terms refer to hydraulics. In hydraulics if the the liquid has to be lifted or pumped to the usage area the hydraulic pump will be used . This pump will have to functions that is first suction to lift the fluid and the discharge or delivery . The familiar words in pair are lift and discharge; suction and discharge. The specification of pump for these terms are suction head and discharge head.AnswerThe suction pressure refers to the pressure of the referigerant being "sucked" back into the compressor. The suction pressure is a critical variable in ensuring the accuracy of the refrigerant charge, along with the tepmerature of that line as well. The "superheat", or heat added to the vapor in that line can be monitored in this manner. You have not mention which suction pressure... Actually Where ever the suction is presented that pressure is called suction pressure.... and suction pressure in practical cases normally always less that atmospheric pressure and in case of delivery pressure it is oppositeSaying that suction pressure is " the pressure of the referigerant being "sucked" back into the compressor " is not accurate.Simply , the suction pressure of a pump is the absolute pressure of a fluid , measured at the inlet of the pump ( in your answer , the pump is the compressor , and the fluid is whatever refrigerant. )The discharge pressure , is the absolute pressure of the liquid measured at the outlet of the pump.Obviously, the discharge pressure is usually bigger than suction pressure.
The vacuums that do not lose suction is the Dyson vaccums.
Hoover vaccums have great suction and can pick up just about anything.
Oreck vaccums have very strong suction and can pick up just about anything.
Dyson typically has the top rated vaccums. Bissell and Hoover vaccums are also quite good. There are different categories such as canister, small, and upright vaccums to choose from.
Vacuums can lose suction due to clogs in the hose or filter, a full dust bag or canister, a worn out motor, or a damaged seal. Regular maintenance and cleaning can help prevent loss of suction in vacuums.

Rudimentary hand held vacuum cleaners typically range $25-$100. Depending on quality, some of them do lose suction easily.
