A women name Bola as had 6 babies but, they have all died. The priest of the village tells her break the bones and mangle them because, its a spirit that is the reason for making this happen. The 7th child she has name Maji, is now grown and working in another part of Africa. While he is gone she is taking care of his daugher Asi. Maji comes to town for a visit. While is there he wants nobody to know that he is in town. His daughter ask why he is always wearing a red scarf around his neck, and he tells her so his head would fall off. One day him and Asi goes on a little walk and spend the day on a hill where you could see the sea or village. While they are walking Asi ask why cant she see his shadow, then she ask why does his watch stop at 12? Bola starts to noticing a smell around his room but, she leaves it alone after he says its rats. It starts to rain and she hearing things, she goes check on Maji but, he isn't in his room so she looks outside. He comes up to the door but, for some reason he isn't wet and he tells her he has to go back to his town. The next morning her daughter in law comes to tell her that Maji died on Friday at work but, she doesn't understand how if he was just there. At the end the priest gets angry because , she didn't do what he said and he said the spirit has comr back to make fun of her by keeping Maji alive. But, she doesnt really think of it like that and she believes the only reason Maji came back was to thank her.
