The Man Who (Thought He) Looked Like Robert Taylor was written by Bienvenido Santos and published in 1983. The book is about a man who was born in the Philippines and moved to the United States, stetting up home in Chicago. He lived in an area where there were a lot of Polish immigrants, but he felt lonely and isolated. After 30 years in Chicago, he decided to head to Washington DC to search for some people he knew. He met other Filipinos along the way, but they made him feel even more inferior because they seemed smarter and better educated. He just couldn't find a place to fit in.
