hat is the word for what you think will happen based in scientific definition?
It means "think again" as in, "You think something is going to happen - well, you've got another think coming because it's not going to happen." "You've got another think coming" is also a quote from Scout, in To Kill a Mocking Bird, by Harper Lee.
To be optimistic means to always think that the best will happen. Overly optimistic means that you think the best will always happen even when it is impossible for the best to happen. If no good can come of something and you can see the end game in advance, an overly optimistic person will play it out anyway hoping that good will just happen by chance.
This is a "what do you think" question -- which can only be answered by YOU. Your teacher wants you to use your imagination and think about what you have read so far, then think of what you believe might happen next based on how people act and what normally happens in life and how things work. There is no right or wrong answer to a "What do you think" question - it is to get you to use your imagination instead of trying to cheat.
The verbs predict and forecast and foreseeindicate that something is expected to happen.A stronger term, with specific connotations, is to prophesy (make a prophecy).A related term is to anticipate, which is sometimes used to mean expect.

Expectations are what you think will happen or what you think people will do. They are like mini-predictions of the very near future, based on experience, cultural norms, prejudices and in some cases misinformation.
Personally I think it means that its something that either will happen in the future or Its something you want to happen in the future.
A hypothesis is what you think will happen in an experiment/problem/ect. Usually it goes something like this: I believe (or "I think that") blahblahblah will happen because when blahblahblah does/mixes with/melts/drops/ectectect. blahblahblah will happen. Something like that.

To write a hypothesis for kids, start by encouraging them to ask a question about something they are curious about. Next, help them make an educated guess about what they think will happen based on what they already know. Use simple language, and structure it as “If I do this, then I think that will happen.” This way, they can easily understand and test their idea through an experiment.
