The Colt Peacemaker was a variant of the Colt Single Action Army, which was available in over thirty calibers. The most famous of those calibers is what is now known as .45 Long Colt, which makes up the majority of First Generation Single Action Army production. .44-40 Winchester Center Fire, .38-40 Winchester Center Fire, and 32-20 Winchester Center Fire were also popular calibers.
