I just went to the dealer yesterday to ask about how to replace the burnt out bulb in the control knobs. The control knobs do not have a specific fuse. The fuse that would cover the lights behind the knobs also covers all the instrument lights.
You probably have a burnt out bulb. The dealer told me to remove the two screws that are under the panel where the heated seat adjustments are. That small panel is suppose to come off. Then you should be able to remove the cowel around the heater knobs. There is only one bulb and that is suppose to be behind the blower switch. When you locate the bulb, it is in a terrible location. You can use an air line hose and push it over the bulb. That is enough pressure to pull the bulb out and to put it in. Then put the cowels and cover plates back. I plan to work on my beetle on Saturday. So I can offer more help after I fix mine. At this point my comments are only what the dealer told me. Hope this helps. Tom

The heater and AC knobs on a 1971 250c Mercedes work by turning in a clockwise or counterclockwise manner.
I think. it would be the knobs on each side of the parking brakes(if they are still there in that year) pull them both up (i think) while the motor is on and you should get warm air to come out. You probably CAN'T turn it on, unless:the heater boxes, which are sheet metal pieces wrapped around the cast-iron exhaust manifolds, are intactthe control levers on the sides of the heater boxes are there, the butterfly valve they control is there, and the cable running to the lever is there, intact and connected at both endsthe hoses connecting the heater channels to the heater boxes are there and intactthe heater channels don't have any holes in themand even if all that stuff is right, you STILL don't get much heat out of them!
Generally pull it off and slide the new ones on. some makes/models may have retaining clips to hold them on, some just dont come off without removing the entire control.
The heater knobs in the Saturn Ion should just pull off if they are the round type. If they are the sliders, the face plate has to be removed before the knobs can be removed because they are attached inside by screws.
Hi: it is atached to the control knobs, in other words the module is right behind the knobs.
To get the AC and heater knobs to light up on a 1996 Volvo 850, you typically need to check the bulb behind the knobs, as they often burn out over time. Remove the trim around the climate control panel to access the bulbs, then replace any burned-out bulbs with new ones. Additionally, ensure that the vehicle's interior lights are functioning properly; if they aren't, it could be a fuse issue. If the knobs still don't light up after replacing the bulbs, consider checking the wiring or connections for any issues.
A hammer.
Microscopes typically have knobs for adjusting the focus (coarse and fine adjustment knobs), magnification levels (objective lens turret), and the stage (stage control knobs for moving the specimen). Other common knobs include the condenser adjustment knob for controlling the amount of light passing through the specimen and the mechanical stage knobs for precise movement of the specimen.
