To manually reset the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) in a 1998 BMW Z3, first ensure the ignition is turned off. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and wait for about 15 minutes to allow any residual power to dissipate. Reconnect the battery, then turn on the ignition without starting the engine; the SRS light should reset. If the light remains on, you may need to use a diagnostic tool to clear any stored fault codes.
SRS means Service Required Soon.
You need to take it to the dealer unfortunatly

I had a 96 Grand Am and the SRS swith was located underneath the front passenger seat.
I have same problem on 1994 525i. Need a new control module which no one seems to have.
Your SRS light can come on for a number of reasons including changing the battery, or just inadvertantly pulling the SRS fuse. It doesn't necessarily mean you have a problem with the SRS system -although it may. The best way to tell is by clearing all codes and resetting the SRS computer. If the light comes back on, something's up with the SRS system - could be something as simple as a seat belt switch. You can reset the SRS computer with a special "tool" from Honda. It's inexpensive and certainly cheaper than having the dealer do it for you.
You have a problem with the srs (supplemental restraint system) system. Until the problem is fixed the light will remain on. Once the problem is repaired the light will reset itself.
In the 2006 BMW X3, the passenger airbag is typically protected by a fuse located in the fuse box. The specific fuse for the passenger airbag is usually labeled as "Airbag" or "SRS" (Supplemental Restraint System) and is commonly a 10A fuse. However, it's always best to consult the owner's manual for the exact fuse location and specifications, as they can vary by model and region.
