you have to pull hood release then get out of car and pull up on the hood like you were to open it. then get back in car and pull hood release again. then get back out of car and open hood that should work. i have a 1999 Volvo v70 xc awd cross country and that's what i do for mine. ;)
In the '99 V70, its under the front hood between the windshield and left front wheel well.
There are two oxegen sensors on the 99 V70 GLT.
I don't know about a 2001, but on a 99 v70 it is located in center console glove box between driver and passenger seat.
In a 1999 Volvo V70, the fuse for the cigarette lighter is located in the fuse box, which is typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side. Specifically, it is usually the fuse labeled "CIG" or "Cigarette lighter." You can refer to the fuse box cover or the owner's manual for the exact location and fuse number. If the fuse is blown, replacing it should restore functionality to the cigarette lighter.
Begin by removing the retaining bolts from your hood latch. You can access the hood latch retaining bolts from the front grill. Once the retaining bolts are removed the hood latch assembly will come apart, releasing the hood.
To remove the front driver window motor on a 1999 Volvo V70, first, disconnect the car battery to ensure safety. Then, remove the door panel by unscrewing the fasteners and gently prying it away from the door frame. Next, locate the window motor, disconnect the wiring harness, and unbolt the motor from its mounting points. Finally, carefully pull the motor out, ensuring that you maneuver around the window regulator and any other components.
open hood its on top of the engine attached to the intake plenum, attached to wiring connector with the wire connection pointing straight up to the hood.
My 98 did this and it was a clogged fuel injector. Someone else: my 99 V70 used to stall when I was stopping. Not all the times, but sometimes. There was a recall regarding the ETC (electronic throttle control) - a software update, done free by the Volvo dealership. No stalling since. But starting to get electrical problems. Back gate does not lock/unlock from the remote (I have to use the key); lights for the plates do not light up. Intermittent faults shown on the display - they come and go.
Yes. 95-99 all have the same hood regardless of model.
Yes, but your Volvo will have very little power without the turbo.
check the front shocks or struts to see if they are worn out, worn out struts could cause the front tires to hop at higher speed.
Go under the dash board on the drivers side of the vehicle, behind it you will see the cable which is connected to the hood release handle. Grab a set of pliers, and grip the cable, (by the exposed part of the cable if possible) then pull it towards you, or put tension on the cable until the hood latch releases. The hood should open right up.
