simply get a spanner or something that fits over the linkage and force the old ones off and the new ones simply push on, although getting the old ones off sometimes can be a nightmare. you can't put the new ones on in the wrong place, they will only reach to certain balls on the gearbox selector.
To change the gear linkage on a Peugeot 307, start by lifting the vehicle and removing the undertray for access. Disconnect the battery, then remove the gear lever and linkage from the transmission by detaching the retaining clips and bolts. Replace the old linkage with the new one, ensuring all connections are secure, and then reassemble the gear lever and undertray. Finally, reconnect the battery and test the gear operation before lowering the vehicle.
If all goes well, 2-3 hours
To repair the gear selector on a Peugeot 106, first, ensure the vehicle is safely parked and the battery is disconnected. Inspect the gear linkage and cables for any signs of wear or damage, and replace any faulty components. Lubricate the linkage points to ensure smooth operation, and adjust the cables if necessary for proper alignment. Finally, reassemble everything, reconnect the battery, and test the gear selector for proper functionality.
Gear shift linkage?Remove gear shift from top and align
rip the car apart and get a macanic to do it
Worn out linkages, replace the entire linkage. I have fitted rose joints on a 106 Rally car gearbox linkages but that hasn't solved the problem. They just wear and get sloppy.
your answer lies in your question! your driving a peugeot! theres nothing else to it!
To change the gear linkage cables on a Vauxhall Movano, first, ensure the vehicle is securely lifted and supported. Disconnect the battery, then remove any necessary panels to access the gear linkage assembly. Unclip or unscrew the old cables from the gear lever and the transmission, and replace them with the new cables, ensuring they are securely attached. Finally, reassemble any removed parts, reconnect the battery, and test the gear shifting to ensure proper installation.
maybe your sincronizer is going out. that or bad linkage.
The reverse gear linkage would be attached to the transmission, not the transfer case.
its complicated. on most vehicles it will not start in any other gear besides park. so your gear linkage is incorrect
linkage is sticking
