is very simple, just remove the plastic cover from the engine, locate the ignition coil that you want to replace, but before you disconnect the ignition coil disconnect one terminal from the battery and make sure that doesn't touch the chassis from the car and then disconnect the wires connector from the ignition coil and remove the two scrawls from the ignition coil and install the new one and make sure you replaced the washer that goes at the baton of the coil and reconnect the wires connector back and reconnect back the terminal from the battery on some times went you disconnect the battery your radio may go into safe code make sure you have the code to reprogram you radio again before you do this procedure
REMOVAL PROCEDURE Remove the engine cover. Disconnect the spark plug wires at the ignition coils. Disconnect the ignition coil harness connector. Remove the ignition coil mounting bolts. Remove the ignition coil. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE Install the ignition coil to the bracket. Install the ignition coil mounting bolts. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Tighten Tighten the ignition coil mounting bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in) . Connect the ignition coil harness connector. Connect the spark plug wires at the ignition coils. Install the engine cover.
Each spark plug has it's own ignition coil, they are on the spark plug itself. Unplug the ignition coil connector, remove the bolt holding the coil in place, pull the coil off of the spark plug and out of the valve cover. Install the new coil.
Each cylinder has it's own separate ignition coil. The 1.8 T has four cylinders, so there are four ignition coils.

It is very difficult to get the old one off. You have to take a torch and melt the old one down and then spoon it out like pudding.
take the wires off the + and - side of the coil, pull the coil wire out of the coil, unbolt the coil from the manifold, to install just reverse directions.
each spark plug has its own ignition coil on top of the plug, like many current cars.
The 2005 Chevy Trailblazer has Coil-On-Plug ignition coils so there are 6 "coil packs". Each one is mounted on top of the spark plug.

let the engine running, lift off the ignition coil one by one after opening the screw...a tick sounds will be heard ... no tick sound and gasoline leak on the plug thread means the ignition coil is busted.
Take the big black motor cover off usually 3 plastic screw, turn them 1/4 turn. The ignition coils are located beneath the cover they are kind of squarish.
