To replace the amber light bulb in the headlamp assembly of an Audi TT, first, ensure the vehicle is turned off and remove the key from the ignition. Open the hood and locate the headlamp assembly; you may need to remove any covers or clips. Carefully twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to release it, then pull out the old bulb and insert the new amber bulb, ensuring it's seated properly. Finally, reassemble any covers or clips and test the light to confirm it's functioning.
You are going to have to replace the entire Headlamp Assembly, very expensive.
1. Open the hood. 2. Remove the front air deflector. 3. Apply light pressure to the headlamp lens to hold the headlamp assembly in place while disconnecting the retainers. 4. Lift up the headlamp assembly retainers to release. Important: Note the location and position of the headlamp adjuster retainers and the locator tab. 5. Remove the headlamp assembly, pulling straight forward from the headlamp mounting panel. 6. Disconnect the wiring harness from the headlamp assembly. 7. Rotate the headlamp bulb/socket counterclockwise to release. 8. Remove the headlamp bulb/socket from the headlamp assembly, if required. There are (2) pull up clip retainers that hold the headlamp assembly in place...Both of these must be removed for the headlamp assembly to be pulled forward...:)
Hi,The headlamp bulb is relatively easy to replace in these vans. What you have to do is remove the turn signal assembly first, and then the headlamp assembly. This is done by removing 3 wing nuts that hold the assemblies in, and then pulling the turn signal assembly straight out, followed by the headlamp assembly. The headlamp assembly has to be lifted UP and then Out.Once you have the assembly out, the headlight bulb can be unscrewed from the back of the assembly and replaced. Be careful not to get any oil from your fingers on the new bulb, as that will heat up when the light is on and decrease the lifetime of the bulb.I have included a link below that shows pictures of the assemblies and how to removed them.Take Care, Greg
To change the headlight bulb you do not need to remove the headlamp assembly. Pop the hood and behind the assembly is access to the light bulb, just unclip it and carefully pull it out from the hole. Then you can remove the old bulb and put the new one in. Don't touch the light bulb! It won't work if you do.
Lift the hood and look behind the headlight assembly, there you will fine two black colored lever devices. Pull up on the lever devices and the head light assembly will unattach from the vehicle. You are then able to access the sockets and replace your headlamp.
The lights on the Sidekick simply twist out from the rear of the fixture. Open the hood, unplug the wiring assembly, and twist the light bulb assembly about a 1/4 turn. You can then pull the light from the headlamp housing.
Remove bolt on top of headlamp assembly. Gently pry and pull assembly straight out. Bulb can now be acessed.
simply remove the two screws located on the top of the headlamp assembly and then pull the headlamp assembly forward to gain access to the light bulbs
Open the hood and look for the upside down "l" shaped rods over the headlamp assembly. Lift each one up and out and remove the assembly. Once done reach down and push and twist the bulb out from the back of the running light assemble underneath where the headlamp assembly was. Replace bulb and reverse the process.
You have to remove the entire headlamp assembly. there are 2 screws on the top of the assembly & 1 on the bottom either next to the battery box or collant overflow.
I have a 1999 Forester, but I imagine the 2003 is similar in this regard. You don't actually need to remove the headlamp to replace the bulb. On my car, I unplug the wire from the bulb at the back of the headlamp, remove the large rubber piece around the back of the bulb, unclip the clips that hold the bulb in place, remove and replace. Cheers! Mark This is a good answer and is so just as stated. Thanks Mark! RicT
raise hood, remove two small screws holding small black shield cover on top headlamp. Remove set screw that holds lamp in place then on each sside there's a slide that will release the headlamp and it will then come out so you can get to the marker light (amber color lens).
