on my Renault scenic 1998 version it was at the front of the engine bay with a red cap but as for the 2003 version i dont have no idea hope this helps

The air filter on a 2002 Renault Scenic is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment. It is under the huge, black box at the very front, above the driver's side headlight. The cover is held on by a clip at the front.
