I have a 2000 Volvo S80 and am sure it's the same procedure. You will need Sylvanian H7 or equivalent bulbs for the car. Make sure the car is off when replacing Under the hood, behind the Headlamp assembly, there's a dome shaped cover. Unstrew this to get at the headlamps. There is a retaining clip that must be pushed, at the top, to the side a little and pulled down. You can now pull the lamp out and disconnect it from the leads. Just replace the lamp and reassemble before starting the car to check. Hope this helps.
