I've heard that leaving it in the ignition in the ACC position for at least 30 seconds does this, but I'm not positive about that.
with a fine blade or knife, prise open the key fob from the back. Remove the two batteries inside and replace with new ones. The fob will snap back into place after
$250 @ MB according to forum
I had not used the 2nd key fob for my 2000 S500 for several years, so it lost its memory. I took it to the dealer and they wanted $500 to reprogram it! After doing some research on MB forums I found I only had to insert it into the key slot and leave it for several hours while it re programed itself. Needless to say, I don't go to the dealership for service anymore. I have found an honest independent MB service center in Carlsbad, CA. Hope this works for you.
You need a star diagnostic computer to reset this. The dealer has one and some MB indepedent mechnics have them as well.
Go to Mercedes- Benz dealer, they will ask u for vin number, then they will give u the code.
You don't say what year your vehicle is and I am not sure if it is the same on all MB models and years but here is the procedure for my 2002 C320. Maybe it is the same for your year/model. You pull the metal key out of the FOB then use it to push in the grey tab that you will see when you look down the channel that the key came from. While you are pushing in that grey tab you pull up on the top part of the FOB separating it from the rest of the housing. Do not force it! It should come out easy at this point. You will now see the two CR2025 batteries that have to be replaced. Replace them both and slide the battery/circuit board back into the housing and put the metal key back in. It was amazing how you don't even realize how weak the signal was until you replace the batteries.
Mercedes can make a metal key (the part inide the key fob) and it will be cheaper than a regular key that is the only wayu unless you have a spare

Hello , Does anybody knows how to reset the service message on E430 MB 199. Thanks Denis Hello , Does anybody knows how to reset the service message on E430 MB 199. Thanks Denis
Try mine it's 7320
there is no reset on the brake pads, you can check your brake pads sensors they will make the light come on
Take your car to MB dealer and they will reset it for you ....simple I think the person was wondering how you reset the check engine light yourself. Obviously, everything can be fixed by taking it to a MB dealer. I imagine that is not at all what they were looking for. All you have to do is to pull the EFI fuse and then put it back in. This will reset the system. That is much more simple.
