Try mine it's 7320
When the radio is removed or the power supply is interupted, (such as the battery is removed) The radio code will have to be reset. This code should come with the paperwork you got when you purchaced the car. If not, The MB dealer can get it for you. Be prepared to prove you own the vehicle
Call a MB dealership and give them you vin # and they'll be able to look it up in the national database, or you would have to take out your whole radio and look in the back of the head unit
When the radio displays "code" enter the five digit anti theft code and press the "SC" button. If you need the code it can be obtained by contacting your local MB dealer and providing your VIN number.
You need the 5-digit code for the radio. The system locks when power has been disabled or the radio removed from the vehicle. Call a MB dealership. I have the same problem with my '99 SLK230. I know the code too. The book says if power has been interupted and the code has been entered incorrectly more than 3 times, the system will lock itself out. However, the book also says that once the radio is on again it should reset itself in 10 minutes or so. I have let my car run with the radio turned on for more than 30 minutes and it didn't reset so I could enter the code. Now, does anyone know how to fix this?
you need the special wire tools...they sort of look like big v-shaped paper clips. You need 2, one on each side of the radio. You may have noticed 2 little holes on each side of the radio's front. The radio removal tool is inserted in the holes, and it attaches to little clips inside. You then pull the radio out. I believe that when you remove the radio, the security system scrambles the radio's code, and it must be re-programed in order for the radio to work. I think your local MB dealer can help you with that...or a local radio shop familiar with MB radios.
Go to Mercedes- Benz dealer, they will ask u for vin number, then they will give u the code.

I just bought a used 190E and had this radio problem at least 3 times in the past week. Just turn the radio on and use the station buttons and put in the code. Radio will come on at once. Ken Jones

It's in the rear of the car, near the right rear tire.
Contact the dealer nearest you and as long as the radio is original they can give you the codes.
You can pay Becker NA 30.00 dollars, or you can the code thru a freindly MB Parts department, with the cars VIN or just the serial number located on the top of the radio.
Either MB power steering fluid or Dexron ATF.
contact the nearest mb dealer who will be able to match a code to your vehcile data
