If the heater fan in your Mercedes CLK isn't working, it could be due to several issues. Check the fuse related to the heater fan, as a blown fuse can prevent it from operating. Additionally, inspect the blower motor and resistor for any signs of damage or failure. If these components are functioning properly, there may be an issue with the climate control module or wiring that may require professional diagnostics.

I have a clicking as you describe on my CLK. I have also noticed the windscreen demister not so good. I have taken it to an independent mechanic who says this is a recognised fault and is due to a cog slipping on something in the heater. He tells me it is a main dealer job and is likely to be over £1000 !

On a 2004 Mercedes-Benz CLK, the fan relay is typically located in the front engine compartment fuse box. You can find the fuse box near the battery, and the fan relay is usually labeled in the diagram on the cover of the fuse box. If you're having trouble locating it, refer to the owner's manual for a detailed diagram and instructions.
