When this happened to me on my seven year old 2.2 DCi laguna I had to hae taken in to the Renault dealers. It turned out to be the a problem with both the cam sensor and the fuel injection sensor. Both had to be replaced at a cost 0f £300 in all. It did cure it though! May also be TDC / crank sensor. Worth removing it and giving it a clean.

How can you start your Renault Laguna after battery replacement?

After replacing the battery in your Renault Laguna, ensure the new battery is properly connected, with the positive terminal first followed by the negative terminal. Once connected, get inside the vehicle, insert the key into the ignition, and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine to allow the electronics to reset. Then, turn the key to the "Start" position to crank the engine. If the car doesn't start immediately, wait a few moments and try again, ensuring all connections are secure.
