I found that I would have trouble starting the truck , rough idle and poor fuel mileage , there is a product on the market that will clean the sensor. CRC makes it and it's called MAF cleaner , about $6.oo , good luck. Terman

Will the engine light come on if a sensor is going bad in a Chevy S-10 pickup?

The "Check Engine" light will illuminate when the ECM (engine control module) receives a signal from a sensor that is out of its parameter. It could be a faulty sensor or the sensor may be doing its job reporting a problem to the ECM.

92 Toyota pickup v6 engine anti knock sensor location?

Ah, the anti-knock sensor on your 1992 Toyota pickup with a V6 engine is located near the engine block. It's a small, important part that helps prevent engine knocking and keeps things running smoothly. Just take your time, be gentle, and you'll find it nestled in there, doing its job to keep your truck happy and healthy.

What if an engine in a gm 1993 is shake you already replace the throttle sensor is there another piece related with this problem?

There are a whole lot of problems that can cause an engine to shake. Did you look at the motor mounts? How are the bearings? Why don't you have someone who knows what he is doing look it over?

Does the throttle sensor lose the rpm?

The throttle position sensor tells the engine control module what you are doing with the throttle as you drive. If you let your foot off of the accelerator pedal the throttle position sensor sends that information to the engine control module and the engine will receive less fuel and it will lose rpm.

How do you diagnose a coolant temperature sensor and oxygen sensor on a 1991 Hyundai Excel with 1.5L EFI Mitsubishi engine?

The best way is to find someone with a scanner that tells you what every sensor is doing.

How do you eliminate knock sensor?

Eliminating a knock sensor is not recommended, as it plays a crucial role in engine performance and longevity by preventing pre-ignition and detonation. If you still wish to proceed, you can physically disconnect the sensor and remove it from the engine. However, doing so may trigger a check engine light and can lead to engine damage or reduced efficiency. It’s best to address any issues with the knock sensor rather than removing it.

Location of crankshaft position sensor on 3.5 Oldsmobile?

If your 3.5 engine is the same as that in a 2001 Olds Aurora, go to www.autorepair.about.com and search on "2001 aurora 3.5 crank sensor". One of the hits will be a diagram of where the crank sensor is located (above the starter motor). Note that for this engine, a "relearn" mjust be done after replacing the sensor. There is a link to the procedure for removing/installing the sensor and for doing the "relearn". Hope this helps

What is the funsion of coolant sensor of a Toyota 4 Runner 1992?

The coolant temperature sensor, which is located behind the engine block near the firewall, senses when the coolant temperature reaches a predetermined temperature so that the transmission can shift into overdrive. This sensor and the hose preceding it can get gunked up with cystallization from the coolant (red Toyota coolant is notorious for doing this) and can prevent proper flow to the sensor i.e. your transmission may take longer to shift into overdrive or may not shift at all depending on how constricted the hose is.

What does a knock sensor do vauxhall zafira?

A knock sensor in a Vauxhall Zafira detects engine knocking or pinging, which indicates abnormal combustion that can lead to engine damage. It monitors vibrations caused by these knocks and sends signals to the engine control unit (ECU) to adjust the ignition timing and fuel mixture for optimal performance. By doing so, the knock sensor helps improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions while protecting the engine from potential harm.

Where is the choke located on 1998 Ford Windstar?

There is NOT a choke on any fuel injected engine. The coolant temperature sensor does the job of what used to be the choke. When the coolant in the engine is cold, the coolant temperature sensor tells the engine control module and it determines how rich or lean to make the engine run. You can use a scanner to see if it and all the other sensors are doing the job they are meant to perform.
