The 2000 Land Rover Discovery typically uses premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 91 or higher. Some models may have a gasoline engine that can run on regular unleaded fuel, but it's best to check the owner's manual for specific recommendations. Diesel variants are also available and would require diesel fuel. Always refer to the vehicle's manual for the most accurate information.
It is important to know the types of fluids that go into different cars. A Land Rover Discovery takes Dexron III automatic transmission fluid.

A Land Rover Discovery that is used and in excellent condition goes for twenty two thousand dollars at a used car dealer ship. When buying used you must take into consideration the warranty on the vehicle and the mileage used on the vehicle.
This is a complicated procedure. It is best left to the professionals so take the vehicle in to your local mechanic.
On the 1999 Land Rover Discovery, you really need to watch for the trim level of the vehicle because the SD, SE7 and Series II all take different wipers. See Sources and Related Links below which describes it better than I can.
I am not sure on the later Discovery's but on my '95 Series 1, the culprit is the brake light switch. Easy to change - when it goes it does not allow the vehicle to move from park. Call any of the Rover parts catalogs and they can walk you through it.
With lots of spanners and a crane. Best if you take a disc cutter to the front slam panel otherwise it gets in the way :-)
What can i say, the land rovers have pros and cons, mine is a 2000 land rover discovery and i installed a 2003 engine, transmission, transfer case, wiring harness and computer. it is still a gas guzzler but it depends what you use it for. It comes very expensive if you don't know and have to take it to the dealer and believe me, even by fixing in my own comes a little pricey because the parts ai'nt cheap. They are expensive vehicles but good working machines.
The amount of transmission fluid a Land Rover Discovery requires can vary based on the model year and engine type. Generally, it can range from approximately 8 to 12 quarts (7.6 to 11.4 liters) when performing a full fluid change. It's important to consult the owner's manual or a service guide specific to your model for the exact specifications.
Take it to the Land Rover dealer or any rv dealer
