It could be a number of things...eletrical problems can be a nightmare. It sounds like you have a problem with your hazard light switch...the big square red button on the shift console. Has this car, and in particular, the hazard switch been exposed to water, extreme dampness...any moisture at all. Do you live near the beach? Did you spill any liquid in the button's area? All of your signal lights are tied into that unit. Also, the problem might be in the turn signal switch on the steering colum. Does the turn signal lever feel very loose? Does it feel like it clicks into place when you move the lever to signal left or right? Does it feel warn out? Does it function properly? And, if those aren't the problems...most likely its a bad relay, which is usually found on the right side foot well, above the fuse panel access. There are about a dozen or so relays there....and unless you're familiar with the color codes or schematics, don't even start to mess with it...it will drive you insane. Most MB mechanics don't have a clue either. I hope this helps you. DM
Short to ground.
rotate the end of the turn signal counter clockwise
The signal lights on a 95 Mercedes e420 is changed by removing the retaining screws and pulling the light away from the vehicle. The bulb can then be disconnected from the wiring harness, unscrewed from the housing, and a new bulb put in place.
there is a constant buzzing from fuse box until signal or hazards are activated or until turn signal fuse is pulled
You should clarify your problem or question. Is it the front or rear signal light? Is the tail light coming on with the signal light? Are none of the lights coming on at all?
Your switch on the end of the turn signal arm has gone bad ( this is common on these models). It can be costly or difficult to replace
That sounds like a grounding problem, probably near the right side lights. It might be a rusty or disconnected ground wire.
If the turn signal switch is buzzing when turneing, usually means you need to replace it.
If neither signal light works, the flasher may very likely be the problem. The hazard lights and the signal lights work off different flashers.
signal lights not working.
