Chevy Astro van? on the front ballencer
Yes
there should be a sticker with that diagram on it under your hood somewhere.
i have replaced the cylinder head and new head gasket, and need to fit the cam belt, but need to know the timng marks for both crank and cam , thank you
I thought that timing was measured off the crank gear and the cam gear. Not the flywheel :P
On my Vauxhall Astra 1.6 8v engine. The thermostat was on the left hand side of the engine behind the rear timing belt cover were the coolant hose leaves the engine to the radiator. hope this helps
How do you set cam timing an a Fiat Strada 12. 8v
To set the timing on a Renault Scenic 1.6 8V, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for cylinder one. Align the timing marks on the crankshaft and camshaft pulleys. Secure the timing belt or chain in place, ensuring proper tension, and double-check the alignment of the marks before reassembling the components. Finally, rotate the engine manually a few times to confirm there are no obstructions and the timing remains correct.

To time up a Peugeot 206 1.4 8v after the timing belt has snapped, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for cylinder one. The timing marks can be found on the crankshaft pulley and the camshaft sprocket; align the crankshaft mark with the notch on the engine block, and the camshaft mark should point vertically upwards. After aligning these marks, install the new timing belt, ensuring it is taut and properly seated on all pulleys. Finally, double-check the alignment before rotating the engine manually to ensure everything is correctly timed.
