There are 4 oxygen sensors, 2 on each side. One is upstream of the catalytic converter on each side, and one is downstream on each side. They're easily accessed by jacking up the car on the side you want to work on and removing the rear wheel (using a jack stand naturally). They are occasionally difficult to remove but gentle application of heat around the mounting boss helps a lot.
On my 2000 Boxster it just pulls off the lever.
