If the boot lock on a Renault Clio 1.2 isn't functioning, it could be due to several reasons, such as a faulty lock mechanism, a broken cable, or an electrical issue affecting the central locking system. It may also be caused by a dead key fob battery or a malfunctioning actuator. Inspecting these components can help identify the specific problem. If the issue persists, consulting a mechanic or the vehicle's manual may provide further guidance.

To remove a jammed rear door lock in a Renault Clio, first, ensure the door is fully closed and the interior panel is removed to access the lock mechanism. Use a lubricant like WD-40 to try to free the jammed components. If that doesn't work, disconnect the wiring harness and carefully unscrew the lock from the door, taking care not to damage surrounding parts. If necessary, replace the lock with a new one to ensure proper functionality.
Insert your key in the ignition. Turn it to accessories. Press your remote lock button until you hear a beep. Now it's configured!

To set the tappets on a Renault Clio 1.4, first, ensure the engine is cold and remove the valve cover to access the rocker arms. Use a feeler gauge to check the clearance between the rocker arm and the valve stem; the correct clearance specifications can usually be found in the service manual. Adjust the tappets by loosening the lock nut and turning the adjusting screw until the desired clearance is achieved, then retighten the lock nut. Finally, recheck the clearance and reassemble the valve cover.
