The key is faulty or the immobilizer will not accept the code. remove the battery for 30 mins to allow the system to reset.
The Engine Immobilizer Indicator Light is supposed to flash continually when your key is removed from the ignition because it is part of the security/alarm system. The engine immobilizer is the " kill switch " that will not allow the engine to be started without your key which has a microchip in the top ( the black part of the key ). When the EII Light is flashing it indicates that that part of the alarm system is active and working. If the light does not blink when key is removed THEN it needs to be fixed.
If the exhaust gas warning light on your Renault Kangoo is illuminated and the vehicle keeps cutting out, it could indicate an issue with the exhaust system or engine management. Possible causes include a faulty oxygen sensor, clogged catalytic converter, or issues with fuel delivery. It's advisable to check for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) using a scan tool to identify the specific problem. Have a qualified mechanic inspect the vehicle to prevent further damage and ensure safe operation.
The flashing hazard lights and immobilizer light on your 2000 Daewoo Lanos SE suggest that the vehicle's security system is activated, indicating a potential issue with the key or the immobilizer's recognition of it. The 30-second flashing followed by a 20-second pause is likely a programmed response of the system, which may be trying to deter theft or alert you to a malfunction. Check the key's transponder chip for damage or try using a spare key, as the issue may stem from a failure in the key's signal. If the problem persists, consulting a professional mechanic or dealership may be necessary to diagnose and resolve the immobilizer system issue.

I have Samsung tablet screen flashing and cannot turn off
From my experience this was followed about 2 months later by the whole display expiring. Renault replaced under part warranty for set price of £100 (March 2010). I found the trip meters kept resetting as well - don't leave it too late taking to Renault though, when the whole display started flashing on and off it added about 100 miles per flash to the odometer
It is because the car does not recognise the key. It could be the decoder ring, key, wiring or recoder. It is usually the key thats failed. Give it a good knock on the steering wheel and try it. If it still dosnt work, try a few more times. If if it still dosnt work carefully take it apart and check for corrosion, if its corroded its probably beyond repair. Give the electronics a rub with your thumb, if it still dosnt work it could still be the key or it could be something else. It will need correctly diagnosing
