This is a normal result of running the engine. Hot oil, or most any hot liquid, will vaporize to some extent depending on the temperature and pressure involved. The oil pump forces the oil through the engine passageways at about 50 psi (more or less) so that all moving parts are lubricated. The oil becomes heated through the friction of the moving parts, to around 250 degrees F. What you are seeing is the vaporization of the oil.
check your oil level?
If it stops after a minute or two, it was condensation. If it continues the whole time the engine is running, it's smoke.
No, any smoke is coming from the engine. No, any smoke is coming from the engine.
the engine is running
If an engine is running rich, it is receiving and burning too much fuel and that will yield black smoke. If an engine is somehow burning oil, that will yield white smoke.
the reason why smoke is coming from your engine is because it is on fire And the water is from the ac ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Assuming that the engine is running and warmed up , it sounds like you have a leak in a heater hose or radiator hose , or somewhere else there is a leak in the engine coolant system
White or gray smoke coming out from under the hood of a car could be the result of a small water leak spraying water on a hot engine. A running engine is naturally hot enough to create steam when water hits it.
If white smoke is coming out of the exhaust when the engine is warmed up , it sounds like engine coolant is getting into an engine cylinder
Blown head gasket or cracked block.
White smoke is a good indication you have a blown head gasket. And/or a cracked head. Did you noticed, when it happened that the engine started running rough? Best i can do with little info.
