how do you change the glow plugs on a citroen dispatch my sons work mate has this van and they need it for work i would be very grateful if anyone can tell us where they are situated on the van and is there anything to try first before changing the plugs many thanks for looking
To change the glow plugs on a Citroen Xsara, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Remove the engine cover if needed, then locate the glow plugs on the cylinder head. Use a suitable socket to unscrew and remove the old glow plugs, taking care not to damage the threads. Install the new glow plugs by hand to avoid cross-threading, then reconnect everything and the battery.
First, remove the wires. Then locate the nuts that hold the glowplugs in place and remove them. The glow plugs themselves can then be removed simply by unscrewing them. Then screw in the new glow plugs, replace the nuts and reconnect the wires.

Yes Citroen C3 has spark plugs and there are four. Spark plugs create a spark in order to ignite the fuel inside the engine's piston chamber. When ignited a pressure is built inside and this drives the piston and so the drive-shaft. For each chamber you need one spark plug and since there are 4, you need four plugs.
top of engine block under a moulded black plastic
were is engine cover wot does it do
Hi You maybe drawing to much air in,check hose to air filter,it may have a hole in it or not fitted right
underneath the engine cover there is a long black box about 2" wide held by three bolts the plugs are under that
Spark plugs are hidden under the plastic engine cover. You have to remove the ignition module as well which fits over the four spark plugs.
