It Is Because Your Battery Is Nearly Dead.
It can deliver enough amperage to run the lights & radio, but not enough to turn over the engine.
Batteries degrade over time and those older than 5-8 years become too weak. If jumping with a good battery you still get clicking & no start, then the starter motor is dead. If the car does start, drive to the nearest battery store and buy a new battery. You will get money back for the old one - they recycle the components.
it sounds like a dead battery recharge and try again
If the 1996 Olds Aurora will not start and there is a clicking noise from under the front panel, check the starter. The clicking noise is probably from the starter solenoid.
Low battery voltage .?
Does the engine turn over and then make the clicking noise while trying to start, or does it not do anything but make the clicking noise when you turn the key. If its not turning over at all then it might be a battery problem, Try cleaning the battery terminals, and/or charge the battery, Could also be the starter solenoid, but start with the battery first.
If the 1992 Dodge Caravan won't start but makes a clicking noise, it is probably a combination of things. The starter solenoid is making the battery go dead between starts. Replace both and the problem should be solved.
My Phillips 42 inch Plasma TV wont turn on. It just makes a clicking noise from the back. It wont power off using the remote or the manual turn off i have to unplug it
Either your starter or ignition..
Sounds like a starter or battery problem, possibly wiring problem
Ford F-150 will not start all it does is make a clicking noise
dead battery or bad starter (with the clicking, I'm 95% sure its the battery)
articat atv366 wont start makes a cliking noise has good battery
Your battery sounds like it is dead. Get it charged or replace it with a new one. Then try to find what drained it so this will not repeat.
