How can you convince your parents to pay you for chores?

Don't beg. You could do what my math teacher did when she was a kid. She asked her dad for lunch money then made her lunch and kept the money for herself. Now, my math teacher does not seem like the type of person to do that, but she did.

If a parent decides a child is too young for an allowance, they are not trying to be mean. They want what is best for their child and they decide. To convince them you have to show you are responsible and you will work to get the allowance. Do not complain on the amount of money- remember people in Africa and other poor countries don't have enough money to even buy a pair of shoes.

There may be other issues related to your parents finances that you are not privy to that are preventing them from giving you an allowance. Each family has its priorities.

Well i agree with you chores are hard working tasks that deserve a good payment, but if your family does not have a lot of money to spare then i don't know here try this if your parents work, then the next time they get payed ask if you can have 10 maybee even 5 dollars just take it slow and don't be pushy it will pay off and if not maybee next time ( ;
