If you are under 12 years old, and can't take care of yourself, it is impossible to persuade your parents to stay home. Even if you are 10 years and feel that you are responsible enough to be left home for a couple of hours then show them reasons to trust you and let you stay home. If they are forcing you to go somewhere against your wills then you have to talk to them and tell them why you really don't want to go or make yourself sick or something or say that you have a really important essay to finish and haven't started yet. goodluck :)
It all depends on how long they let stay home alone. When I was 10, they let me stay at home for up to an hour. When I was 12, I could stay home for up to 3 hours. When I was 14, I was baby-sitting, so I could stay home alone for however long I wanted. Hope this helps!!
Demonstrate you can handle independance over a period of time.
Its Your Parents Choose. You can go to school, or not. My Mum and Dad let me stay at home for a week :) Its your parents choice the first submission is stupid.

You can trust your parents when you realize that they truly love you and that is why they do what they do. If you love your parents then you would not let your friends trick you into doing things which can cause you hurt or pain.
Well most children find trick-or-treating enjoyable and fun. Parents should let them have that enjoyment of getting dressed up and going from house to house to trick-or-treat. Plus you get free candy!
Be practically perfect for the whole day, then at like 7:00, ask if you can stay up 1 hour later than usual in the politest way possible. Continue until satisfied. (Hint: decrease the amount of time you ask for each time you ask. :)
its not easy but you have got to show your parents that u r responsible enough. i no i no... it pretty much sux doesn't it but that is the only way. hope this helps.
