Romeo kills Juliet's cousin, Tybalt, in a fit of rage after Tybalt kills Romeo's friend, Mercutio. The act of revenge leads to a tragic turn of events in the play "Romeo and Juliet."
Tybalt is Juliet's hot-headed cousin. He kills Romeo's best friend, Mercutio, in a feud. Romeo, angry and wanting revenge, kills Tybalt.

Act 1 he is very depressed over Rosaline, Acts 2-3 he kills Tybalt (Juliet's cousin) and is banished from Verona, and Act 4-5 he kills himself because he wants to be with Juliet in heaven

Romeo was at the point married to Juliet, which is Tybalts cousin. therefore romeo did not want to kill Tybalt for Juliet's sake.
