Yes, you can deposit a cashier's check back into your account by visiting a bank branch or using a mobile banking app to make a remote deposit.
To put a check in your bank account, you can visit a bank branch or use a mobile banking app to deposit the check by taking a picture of it.
if the check was made out to a company that is now being investigated, can it be stopped if it has not cleared the bank or if it has cleared the bank is there a 30,60 or 90 day rule?
If you are opening a savings or checking account, the bank doesn't care about your credit because you won't be able to do anything unless you put money into the account. If you're applying for a credit account, of course they are going to look at your credit history to see if you will be likely to pay them back for what they loan you.
Yes, I do it all the time. Just make sure you sign the check and put it in the right direction and it will automatically process your check and the money should be available as soon as you choose which account you would like your money to go into. However, it depends on your bank as well.
I would say the best answer is to go back to Chas Levy with the old check and request a new one. Most banks will not accept a 7 year old check for deposit, and if they did there is a chance the account information or bank may have changed during that time frame. Lastly, since the statues of limitations have expired on this check there would be little to nothing you could do to fight to get it paid.
Endorse, or sign, the check on the back. Put your account number on there and write For Deposit Only.
In the event that there is some problem with the check, such as insufficient funds, stop payment, etc., it will then be easier for the bank to debit your account if they have recorded your account number on the back of the check.
No. If the check is sent to YOU and is for YOU it is OK to put it into YOUR account. It IS a crime if yous teal or take someone else check and put it into your account because that money does not belong to you.

Enter it on the bank side.
It Depends: 1. Yes you can - If he is a joint holder of your bank account 2. No you cannot - If you are the only holder of your account This is because, a check can be deposited only into the account that is fully or jointly held by the person to whom the check is issued. So trying to put your fathers managers check into your account is a crime.
no
You can cash it into your mothers account, and then wait for it to clear (3 business days) then withdraw that amount. Or, if your mother has the amount on the check in her account, you can ask her to withdraw that amount at the time you put in the check. In either case, you would have to endorse the check on the back, and then write (below your signature) "Pay to the Order of" and your mothers name on the line below that. When your mother goes to put it on her account, she would endorse it below that. So you would have 4 lines on the back of your check in the end. 1. Your Signature; 2. Pay to the Order of; 3. Your mother's name; 4. Your mother's signature.
Put it on the memo line
