my turkey is 15.75 pounds....and i am stuffing it. i will cook it 20 minutes per pound.

also, I KNOW it sounds crazy...but my grandmother has cooked our turkeys this way forever, and they are THE MOISTEST TURKEY I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!

A 15lbs turkey is generally enough to feed about 10-12 people.

It should take about 75 hours (3 days) to fully defrost in the refridgerator. You should defrost about 5 hours for every pound.

The oven should be preheated to 400 degrees F.

Remember to cook the turkey BREAST DOWN, as this will make sure the breast skin won't get so brown and all the juices will fall down to cook into the breast!

If you want the breast to get a bit browned then turn the bird over at the end of your cooking time and put it in a 500°F oven or under the broiler for 4-5 minutes. You MAY over-cook the turkey this way, so be careful!

Cook your turkeys 15 minutes for every pound. So, about 3 hours and 45 minutes for each 15lb turkey!!
