How do you cook a top round roast in a pressure cooker?

Cooking in a pressure cooker cuts your cooking time down to about a third. In other words, if you would normally cook a roast for 3 hours it's only going to take 1 but keep in mind that were talking really high temperatures here. The pressure at which you cook the meat at will also cause the time to vary, as will as the fact that top round roasts have very little fat content, quite the opposite of a chuck roast. I usually cook a 3 lb top round roast for about an hour. The process is basically the same as what you would normally cook a top round roast at except for a few added steps. Heat up your pressure cooker and add about 2 to 3 tablespoons oil. Cut your roast into four equal parts, salt and pepper each piece and then brown on all sides. Remove meat from cooker and add about 1 cup beef broth along with 3/4 cup Italian salad dressing. If your presser cooker has a lift pan to keep the meat off of the bottom of the pan while cooking, insert it at this time and cover. Cook for about 1 hour. If you would like to include potatoes and carrots with this meal, have your potatoes and carrots cut, seasoned and ready to go once the roast is done cooking. When the roast is done cooking, take the entire cooker (lid still on!) over to the sink and run cold water over it. This will very quickly bring the internal pressure down to normal allowing you to open the cooker and add your vegetables (unless your roast is completely falling apart, leave the roast in the cooker and add vegetables on top, other wise remove the meat and keep covered and warm). Return cooker to the stove top, replace lid and bring the pressure back up. Once the pressure is where you want it cook for an additional 20 minutes.

Will roast come out better in oven bag or slow cooker?

An oven bag is made to do the same thing a roasting pan does by retaining the juices in the roast. A slow cooker does the same thing in a slightly different way. Both ways work equally well.

What do you get when you harvest a carrot in Minecraft?

Carrots spawn in NPC Villages that have Generated after the Carrots were added to the game. If you made a world before Carrots were added you may have to explore newly generated areas or simply make a new world and find an NPC village that way. Potatoes are found the same way :3

Is potatoes Britain's staple foods?

Potatoes are a staple food in Britain. Traditional English food includes 'bangers and mash' - sausages and mashed potato, roast beef with roast potato, etc - see 'beefeaters' (salaried in part with beef ration) - deep fried fish and potato chips, chip butty - potato chip sandwich usually with tomato sauce (ketchup-like), and silverside (beef) and mashed potato with boiled carrots [English chips are like french fries only much much thicker, otherwise same flavour/texture]

Will an older slow cooker work with this recipe?

Yes you can still use the slow cooker with the pot roast recipe. If you want it finished quickly, use the higher setting, if you want to let it stand and cook for ten hours, use the lower setting. They both will come out with the same result.... tasting so delicious!

Are crockpot recipes compatible for use with a slow cooker?

A crock pot and a slow cooker are the same thing. You can use the same recipes for these two devices without a problem. A crock pot and a slow cooker perform the same functions.

How long do you bake a 3 lb pork roast?

Defrost. Place, fat side UP, in a roasting pan at least 1 inch deep that's at least big enough to hold the roast with some space on all sides. Set your oven to 325 degrees & pre heat. Sprinkle on some garlic powder and herbs or bbq sauce or whatever you want on it. Put in middle rack of the oven for about 2 hours. If you have a meat thermometer the very center of the roast should be 160 degrees. Once it's done, let it sit on the counter for about 5 minutes before you cut it.Also, you can cut up potatoes and carrots and onions to do with your roast. Lay the carrots down like a deck for the roast and put the roast on top. Put remaining onions taters and carrots all around the roast. Otherwise follow the same instructions but add about another hour. And one more thing-- if you want to skip the whole oven thing, pork loins come out REALLY REALLY good in a crockpot-- set it on medium with some beer and rosemary or terriaki or bbq or garlic and wine and just leave it all day. At least 3 hours. REALLY REALLY good.

HOW DO YOU DO THOSE WEDGE POTATOES PLEASE?

I roast these potatoes. In a bowl, mix a few tablespoons of olive oil with rosemary. Cut up the potatoes into quarters, put them into the bowl and stir. If you want crispy potatoes, put them in a single layer on a cookie sheet and bake for about 40 minutes at 350. I like to sprinkle salt on them at this point. For non-crispy potatoes, put them into a baking dish and cover. Add the salt and pepper in the olive oil mix. Cook for about the same amount of time.
