The world faced the biggest pandemic in 2020. Industries across the world are realigning their strategies and making efforts to recover from the impact of the COVID-19 crisis. Amidst all the gloom, one thing that brought us a ray of hope was the e-commerce industry which saw a boost in demand during this time. As the world started to follow the new normal from practising social distancing, use of masks and work from home. The year 2020 will be considered a redefining year for the e-commerce industry and consumers at large as huge number of consumers started shopping online after the lockdown was announced.

Groshers launched during the pandemic lockdown in May 2020 with a tagline of "Aapki Zaruratein,Humari Zimmedari" headed with a motive of home delivery services of well packed and sanitised grocery items, raw non veg items delivered to home via Groshers van with pre-booking of the products through their user friendly app and the website for the first time in India.

Groshers left no stone unturned to cover up the needs of people during the lockdown by delivering medicines and personal care products too along with the FMCG at discounted price also taking doctor's appointment through their app which were predominantly offline in cities of UP , but are now considered online and direct-to-consumer platforms with providing huge job opportunities in the whole UP.

Groshers started as a bootstrap business with a team of 12 members in Gorakhpur(UP) and expanded their wings in Basti with their offline meat store, revolutionizing the most unrecognised sector of India and generated the revenue of 6 million for the year May 2020-March 2021.
