He did not tell "everyone" to leave Mecca, but only non-Muslims. He gave this instruction because he wanted Mecca to be a totally Muslim state. He allowed the pagans four months to leave. After that, he instructed his followers to kill any pagans whom they might find still in Mecca.
Answer:To cleanse the House of God built by Abraham and Ishamel from the idol worshipping it was used for, and rededicate it to the worship of the One God Alone. In fact, the House of God in Mecca, we Muslims believe, is the "second Jerusalem" that the Bible foretells. The valley of Mecca is in a miraculous location on Earth. You Tube has a videos about the miracle of Mecca - the fact that it's location on the Earth corresponds to the Golden Mean - in every direction. You would have to search for the name of the video, but it's quite remarkable.
There are two very different words you might be referring to.Hijra is a word used in South Asia to denote a person who was designated male at birth, but who adopts a feminine identity and feminine gender roles.Hijra (or hejira or hegira or hijrat) is the term used in Islam to refer to the relocation of Muhammad from Mecca to Medina in the year 622 of the Common Era. The Islamic calendar uses that time as its Year One. Hijra is the Migration of prophet Muhammad (peace upon him) from Mecca city to Medina (currently, both in kingdom of Saudi Arabia) in year 622 AD when he was informed by God that it is plotted by the Mecca leaders of the non-believers to assassinate him.
Illiteracy was normal at that time and place. It was said that there were only sixteen men in the whole of Mecca who knew how to write. This might be an exaggeration; and there were probably many more people who knew how to read but not how to write. However, poor children like Muhammad were not taught to read. It was completely normal for boys of his social class to be taught practical skills but nothing academic, and it would have been surprising if he had been an exception. Actually it is thought that Muhammad was not completely illiterate, as there are hadiths that show he could read basic texts. But he was not literate in the sense of being "well-read". ___________________________________________ Muhammad was from a prestigious family in Makkah (or Mecca). His Grandfather was one of the highest advisory leaders in the town of Makkah (or Mecca). However, Muhammad didn't learn to read or write a single letter for a wisdom that Allah (or God and same God worshiped in Christianity and Judaism) required in order not to be said later that he learnt from old religions and faiths. Refer to question below.
In the years before Muhammad's mission, it happened that the tribes around Mecca decided to rebuild the Kaaba, as its walls had become weak, and they feared they might crumble.
their traditions and businesses People of Mecca were idol worshippers. They wer plunged into the darknss of ignorance. They were drunkards, gamblers, cheaters and superstitious. They buried their daughters alive and had no respect for women. They exploited the poor and the weak. They followed no rule. Their motto was, "Might is right." When the last Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) preached the message of Almighty Allah inviting the Meccans to worship only One Almighty Allah, to be honest, truthful, fair, and straightforward in their dealings, they turned against him. They were not ready to change their traditions, culture and the power over the poor and the slaves. They felt a threat.
fought him and tryied to kill him and then sanctions him and other Muslims and Muslims lived in out of city for 3 years under sanctions and even could not but food. until Muslims immigrated to Medina secretly.
The last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (MPBUH) was born in Mecca. At that time (6th century AD) the people of Mecca had lost many original teachings of Hazrat Abraham (AS). They knew that there was the Chief God but they believed that there were also many partners of God Almighty. They worshiped Idols considering them the partners of God, and had special powers. They were drunkards. They fought against each other on petty matters. Many of them buried their daughters alive. They believed in the rule,"Might is right." They had no education. They gambled and believed in here-say. They lived in tribes and followed tribal laws.
The leaders of Mecca had their monopoly and rule over the common people. Islam teaches equality of all human beings irrespective of their worldly status. They worshiped many idols, whereas Islam teaches to worship only One Almighty God. Therefore, they tried to prevent the spread of Islam.

There were several tribes in Mecca at this time. Archaeology shows that the city of Mecca was first built around the year 200 C.E. According to local legends, the indigenous tribe was the Khuza'a. Other tribes that later settled in Mecca were the Quraysh, the Bakr and the Hilal. All of these tribes still lived in Mecca in Muhammad's time. Around 440, the Quraysh ousted the Khuza'a from the dominant position and gained control of the city. The Quraysh were of course Muhammad's tribe, and they were still politically powerful - the "nobility" of Mecca - when he was born in 571. The Hilal, though lacking political power, were wealthy and might be considered the "bourgeois" tribe. The Khuza'a and the Bakr were merely respectable. The Bakr supported the Quraysh, who were their patrons; but the Khuza'a harboured a lot of latent resentment, and eventually supported Muhammad against the Quraysh. Mecca was a city of immigrants, so there were a few people from nearly every tribe in Arabia. Most, though not all, of these immigrants were the poor labourers and servants of the native tribes. The other group of people who might be considered the "working class" of Mecca were the freed slaves, who usually remained attached to their former masters as "vassals" or servants. Some semi-nomadic tribes could also be found on the outskirts of the city. The lowest rung of society was the slave population. Slaves could be from any tribe or foreign country, and were often Greek, Persian or Abyssinian. N.B. There are legends, not supported by archaeology, that Mecca was founded by Abraham about 2,000 years before the Khuza'a arrived. These legends claim that Mecca was inhabited by a tribe called the Jurham, who disappeared from Mecca when the Khuza'a fought them. It may be true that the Khuza'a fought other Bedouin tribes in the generations before Mecca became a settled city.
