if you have 50 people you have to make like 100 briskets cause some people might want extras Actually there are a few unknowns that the question does not explain - I will usually purchase 1 lb (trimmed) brisket per person. So if I am having 8 to 10 people to feed, I will prepare around 10 lbs. brisket - this might be two 5 lb. briskets as long as it adds up to roughly one pound per person (before cooking).
usually 17 people. 1 person a pound. lolz!

17 year "locusts" are cicadas rather than actual locusts. They feed on tree sap.
Well, darling, if you want to feed 70 people with little smokies, you better be ready to throw down about 17-20 pounds of those bad boys. Trust me, you don't want to skimp on the sausages, or you'll have a mutiny on your hands faster than you can say "pass the mustard." So, grab those cocktail toothpicks and get ready to feed the masses!
