First, for the purposes of this question, I am narrowing the analysis to Jews who keep kosher, e.g. follow the dietary laws, and also ignoring any personal Allergies.
Being on a train has no effect on a what a Jew can or cannot eat. Jews eat the same food on trains that they do in their homes or restaurants (except they may opt for particular dishes that are easier to transport like Sandwiches over stews).
If by "the trains" you are referring to the cattle cars used to transport Jews in miserable conditions to the Nazi Concentration Camps, Jews were not given food for the ride. They were "expected" to tough it out or die.
Trains do not eat because trains are machines.
no they were not
poorly
the trains in the movie are a model of the trains Nazis used to transport Jews
The German soldiers were armed, the Jews were not. Moreover, the Jews had been subjected to malnourishment and persecution for a long time before they were forced on to the trains for the death camps.
Boats
Trains!
Most were transported by cattle trucks and trains.
cattle cars on trains.
They had to move them with trains and most Jews ran away. Either with boats or snuck away on foot!
Jews who eat kosher will not eat snails since snails are not kosher. However, not all Jews eat according to the laws of kashrut, so some Jews do eat snails.
Most Jews were brought to the Nazi Concentration camps using trains, shoving the Jews into cattle-cars to humiliate them.
