A T-bone steak comes from the rear flank of the animal. It is similar to a Porterhouse steak as both have a "T" shaped section of bone. The meaty portions of both steaks contain meat from the short loin and the tenderloin. Porterhouse steaks from the rear end of the short loin while T-bone steaks are cut from farther forward.

An easy recipe that the whole family can enjoy is beef tip subs. Marinate steak tips in any kind of marinade for 24 hours. Then grill the steak tips and add in roasted peppers and onions. Toast a sub roll and add the meat and veggies. Yum!
