Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was inspired by God (Allah in Arabic) to kiss the black stone in Kaaba. All Muslims, when they kiss this stone, they kiss it not as respect or worship for the stone itself but in obedience to their prophet (PBUH) and, hence, in obedience to Allah (God in English).
It's narrated about the companion Omar Ben Al-Khattab that he kissed the black stone at pilgrimage & said while kissing it what means in English:
" I do know that you are a stone, neither you benefit nor harm, unless I saw the prophet kissing you I wouldn't kiss you".
Muslims kiss black stone as it is tradition (Sunnah) of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh .
At maka building there is a ston ,hejer a aswad ,last prophet Muhammad kiss it,so all Muslim try to kiss it.
The black stone came down from Paradise. It is black because of people sins.It was pure white in the beginning.Muslims only worship one God.Muslims kiss it because our Prophet Muhammad(S.A.W.W) kissed it.So it is Sunnah that is being followed by Muslim community. It is not worship. Thanks
yes the Abraham kiss the black stone
The Kaaba, located in Mecca, is the holiest site in Islam, and kissing it is a revered act of devotion. Pilgrims seek to kiss the Black Stone, embedded in the Kaaba's corner, as a way to express their love for Allah and to seek blessings. This tradition is rooted in the practices of the Prophet Muhammad, who is believed to have kissed the stone during his pilgrimage. Kissing the Kaaba symbolizes connection to the divine and the unity of the Muslim community.
Muslim pilgrims perform the Tawaf ritual by circling the Kaaba in a counterclockwise direction seven times as a show of devotion to God. Kissing the Black Stone is an act of reverence and humility, symbolizing unity with fellow believers and seeking blessings from Allah. It is a practice that dates back to the time of Prophet Muhammad.
The Black Stone pitched on the eastern wall of the Kaaba (Black Cubicle Building) in the city of Mecca. Muslims do not worship hajr-e-Aswad , they just revered it as it was revered by the Holy Prophet Muhammad. The customary circular rounds of Kaaba (tawwaf) starts and ends at Hajr-e-Aswad
us Muslims believe it was brought down from heaven as a gift to mankind. it was our prophet ibrahim who decided to put it in the kabah, perhaps under gods command. it was prophet muhammads habit to kiss the stone so we do the same today when we go for hajj.
Perhaps, you mean Hajar-i-Aswad, the black stone. The pilgrims try to kiss it. It is a stone from heaven.
When Muslims visit the Kaaba, they circle it counterclockwise seven times, while offering supplications to God. This ritual is called "tawaf." If possible, Muslims may pause in their tawaf to kiss or touch the Black Stone, an ancient stone set into one corner of the Kaaba, which is, itself, made of stone. Muslims touch or kiss the black stone because it was a practice of Prophet Muhammad, God bless him and grant him peace, but it is not required. After having completed tawaf, Muslims face the Kaabah and offer two rakats (units) of salat (formal prayer.) They also may drink water from the Zamzam well, and offer supplications (personal prayers) of repentance and asking for help. Tawaf may be performed as an act of worship in itself, or it may be offered as part of either Umrah (minor pilgrimmage) or Hajj (major pilgrimmage.)
No... Muslims do not believe the kaaba fell from the sky, the kaaba was first build by prophet ibrahim. AnswerNo, they do not. There is what may well be a meteorite which is embedded in a part of the Ka'ab and this may be what you are referring to. ". . . In the eastern corner of the Kaaba is the Ruknu l-Aswad "the Black Corner"" or al-Ħajaru l-Aswad "the Black Stone", possibly a meteorite remnant . . ."http:/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KaabaHint:The Black Stone of the Ka'aba, dates back to Ibrahim (PBUH), or Abraham, when God ordered him to raise the bases of Ka'aba, and showed him its place, Ibrahim (PBUH) wished to place a different-coloured stone at one corner for people to start their Tawaf, or rolling from, he sent his son, Ismail (PBUH), or Ishmael to find him one, Ismail searched but found nothing, when he came back, he found his father holding a very white, milk-coloured stone, the Angels brought this stone from Paradise, and placed it in front of Ibrahim (PBUH) to use it. It has turned out black from peoples' sins.good to note that not only the Black Stone came from heaven, but also "Mqam Ibrahim", coz when Ibrahim (PBUH) attempted to raise the bases of Ka'aba, he wanted to do the best he could, he searched around to find a high stone, he found one, carved a place for his feet on, then when he climbed over it to build the Ka'aba, the stone rose for each row of rocks Ibrahim (PBUH) put, till Ibrahim (PBUH) finished the building. It is encouraged to kiss that stone, like Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did, but if not accessible, just pointing at it is enough, it is just a stone does not benefit, nor harm, but as to follow their Prophet's Sunnah, Muslims do this, showing their obedience and trust in their Lord and Prophet's orders.
Inside the Ka'bah is the Black Stone, a relic that was worshiped in ancient times. It is a dark-colored rock about 7 inches in diameter. The rock is made up of fragments held together. Some historians believe is a meteorite, but this has not been proven, since the holy relic may not be removed for examination. The Ka'bah is the holy house of God (Allah in Islam) and is located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Muslims perform Hajj, a pilgrimage to Mecca and Medinah in which they circle around the Ka'bah. They may kiss the stone, because this is what Prophet Muhammad did, according to tradition (Hadith).
